Duet is a collaboration between Invisible Flock (UK) and Quicksand (India), an ambitious digital artwork about finding space for reflection, expression and connection in our daily lives. An app, an interactive web platform and a series of large scale sculptures creating a year of connections between India and the UK, Duet is at once personal and public, global and local. Every day participants in India and the UK respond to one question via Duet App, gradually building a picture of their partner and their surroundings through shared messages. An interactive web platform – each anonymous conversation adds to the platform in real time, providing a beautiful portal into thousands of global conversations – like an evolving, animated network. Audiences are invited to both participate and listen to these ‘audio portraits’ and find conversations.
