EXIT/ENTRANCE or Transumanar
Federica Foglia | Italy
This is a visual and poetic essay, in which the protagonist is an immigrant artist who wanders the town in which he now lives, to sketch and paint. His eyes absorb the world around him while his inner thoughts are expressed through a voice-over that captures his alienation. The short aims to be an ode to displacement, oscillating between nostalgia and desire to belong.

Mohajer
Anna Knappe| Finland
Mohajer is a film about the experiences and discrimination faced by Afghan mohajers in Iran and how those experiences define their identity as mohajers later in their life after emigrating to Europe. Mohajer in Persian is a loan word from Arabic, meaning anyone or anything traveling from one place to another. The word can be translated simultaneously as migrant or refugee, but also as tourist, and it even refers to migrating birds. Unlike refugee, mohajer is a word that allows individuals to define their identities by themselves.
